Open House begins at 2pm: National Weather Service, Carteret County Emergency Services, Carteret Long-Term Recovery, Down East Flood Monitoring Program, Duke Energy Foundation, NC Department of Insurance, NC Department of Public Safety - National Flood Insurance Program, Carteret-Craven Electric Membership, RCCP / CAMA - Resilient Coastal Communities Program
Supper for everyone from 5-6:30pm (Supper is free, RSVP not required but very helpful)
DOWN EAST Community Roundtable at 6:30pm Hosted by Carteret County Emergency Services, discussion will include pre-storm supply locations, supply distribution post-storm, potential road closures, power outages, evacuation and re-entry procedures, what can we do now to prepare? This discussion will be specific to the Down East communities along with North River, South River and Merrimon.
Fire departments, churches and community leaders who were actively involved in the days and weeks after Florence are very much welcome to share lessons learned.
