Wildlife – Nature Photography Workshop

If you have a passion for outdoor photography and want to capture the spirit of wildlife and nature through your lens, join us for this inspiring and informative workshop.  

The day will include both “classroom time” and “field” time, learning how to dial in your camera for sharper images and what it takes to capture wildlife and nature in a different light through your camera.

Workshop Details

  • Designed for all skill levels with helpful hints for even the most experienced photographers as well as beginners

  • Space is limited; register now.

  • Workshop begins at 8:30 am at the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum & Heritage Center with coffee and pastries with time to view different types of photography on exhibition at the Museum.

  • Class begins at 9 and will conclude around 4:30.

  • Lunch will be provided at noon before a trip to Cape Lookout National Seashore (weather permitting) for field time in the afternoon.

  • Fees covering instruction, supplies, food and ferry - $125/Museum members; $150/non-members (full fees needed at registration, refunds available before October 4.)

Photography is an important part of national park history. Historically, photographers took pictures to show why special places needed protection. Through photography, people are able to see how beautiful and unique park landscapes were even if they could not visit them in person. This is an outstanding educational opportunity supported by Cape Lookout National Seashore.
