Be part of Down East Carteret County's largest gathering of runners, walkers and cheering friends for the Core Sound RUN 2024!
The Core Sound Museum's 10K, 5K and 1-mile fun run/walk, brings together serious runners, dedicated walkers and youth teams from across Carteret County and beyond to enjoy one of the most beautiful RUNS in Eastern North Carolina.
Now in its 8th year, more than 400 participants are expected to help us welcome spring to Harkers Island and Down East. Come join us!
All proceeds from this family-friendly event go to support Core Sound's educational programs throughout the year.

Thanks to the terrific support of the community and sponsors, the first seven years of the Core Sound Run have proven to be wonderful days for friends and families “at the end of the road.” We are now ready to do it all again!

BE A TEAM SPONSOR
• Youth team sponsorships will be included on a banner at the day of the event including your name and the team you are sponsoring. If you have a team in mind, be a team coordinator (see below) but if you just want to sponsor kids, let us know and we will match you with a group.
• A sponsorship of $250 covers the entire team, no matter how small or large, and teachers, counselors, troop leaders that will be with them.
If you have a group/team that you would like to coordinate...

• If your church youth group, school, neighborhood, team, scout troop or any gathering of young folks (under 18) is interested, please complete the form below and we will match your group with a sponsor!
• We will need someone connected to the group/school to help gather registrations, including names, emails, shirt sizes, ages, whether they want to walk or run, etc. This will help so much!
