Soundside Science for homeschoolers

Soundside Science is for Carteret County homeschool students.  Students will delve into the topic of the month with Ms. Catherine.  Activities will be hands-on, STEM/Engineer Design/Experiment/Exploration based depending on the topic and activities. Classes start at 10:30am and end at 12:00pm.  There is a community snack bar that students can visit at the end of each session.  The snack bar works on a donation system.

Pre Registration is required.  Registration will open at the first of the month.  There are limited seats per class.  Catherine will email you a reminder prior to the class.  If you sign up and cannot attend, please alert Catherine, so someone on the waitlist can attend.  Most classes are for ages 7-16, but check ages before registering.   This is a drop off program. Parents and younger siblings can visit the museum and trails during this time. Registration is below.

We do not charge for our educational programming, but rely on donations, sponsorships from those that support our museum, and grants.  If you would like to make a donation or become a member, we have a donation box at the entry of the museum and membership can be acquired through the gift shop.  Donations and memberships are appreciated, but not expected nor required.

Classes fill up quickly!  Not from Carteret County:  You can sign up, but you will be put on a wait list.  If there is room, you will be notified of an opening prior to the class.  You can also contact Catherine at CatherineNorris@coresound.com to schedule a class for your homeschool group.
